The children have had an excellent final week of term 1 in P3B!
In numeracy, we did some outdoor learning to demonstrate our skills in estimating and measuring. We went into the playground and used different items to estimate the distance of 1m. We also explored capacity and used the water tray to begin learning about millilitres and litres.
In literacy, we learned our new sounds ‘oy’ and ‘oa’ and completed activities to learn these. We also did some pieces of writing including a summary of our class novel ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ and a diary entry from the point of view of the main character.
Finally, we finished off our week by doing some ‘bleeding tissue paper’ art. The children learned that when you add water to this type of tissue paper, the colour comes out and makes an interesting pattern on the page. We had so much fun!
We hope you all have a fantastic October holiday break!
