We have been working very hard this term. Most of the term has been working towards performances.
Our assembly was followed by our St Andrew’s Day celebration. We quickly moved onto our Wee Red Riding Hood panto show. We learned our songs and actions and made our props.
Our current focus is dance. We worked in cooperative groups to create and perform a dance sequence. We each had to contribute to the routine and then we wrote instructions for how to perform our sequence.
We have been learning about Scottish Country Dancing. We have tried the Military Two-Step, Canadian Barn Dance and Strip the Willow. It was the most tricky as we needed to use our right hand for our partner and left hand to turn with others. We have more time for this when we return for term three.
This week has seen celebrations such as our party and our end of term service. We have talked about things that are important to us at at Christmas. In the spirit of Christmas, gifts were given to the class but also to a local charity. We also donated items to our local food bank.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who support us and wish you a very happy holiday. Best wishes for 2020!
