Busy Busy in P3A

This week we have learned how to set out 3-digit chimney sums. We have been able to complete addition calculations accurately.

In Literacy we have been extending our sentences by including adjectives to describe nouns.

Our class novel is ‘The Boy Who Grew Dragons’. We enjoy the funny expression, the exploding dragon poo and we are good at predicting what might happen next.

Mrs Jones took our art lesson outside and we created pictures with natural objects.

Miss Rae read ‘Commotion in the Ocean’ and got to choose an animal poem. We had to act out the description in the poem. We were jiggling like jellyfish, had toothy grins like a shark and speak like a dolphin with a click-whistle-squeak!

In ICT, we have been able to enjoy using Sumdog and Hit the Button as we can log in quite quickly now. We are working hard at using two hands to work across the keyboard.

In P.E, Miss Wattie has started some work on Dance. Mrs Ross is helping us to practise throwing and catching. We used lots of different sizes on balls and learned different throws such as underarm, chest and shoulder passes.

Next week we will be planning our assembly!
