Dyce Primary are taking part in the Young Leaders of Learning Programme which is being supported by Aberdeen City Council, Education Scotland and Sparqs (Student Partnerships in Quality Scotland). The Young Leaders of Learning Programme is a way of including the children with working on improving specific things in school to be the best school we can be and also promoting what is going well as there are many positives about being a learner at Dyce Primary. We are looking for 8 children, from Primary 4 to Primary 6, to take part in this programme, which will involve working with young people from another City school to identify what is working well and where improvements can be made as well as developing some of the key skills that they will require going forward into secondary school and beyond.
This week I have visited each of the classes in Primary 4 to Primary 6 and spoken to the children about this exciting opportunity. Those interested took away an application form to fill out at home which looks at the skills they already have and how they could use them to be an effective Young Leader. I have attached a copy of the application for your information. Obviously, we appreciate the time you will be giving your child to support them in completing their application. Completed forms should be returned to me by Tuesday 5th November 2019.
If you have any questions about the Young Leaders Programme please do not hesitate to contact me via the school office.
