This week in P4A we have been celebrating Maths Week Scotland!
On Tuesday we enjoyed our maths trail out in the playground. It was great fun being able to run around while solving challenging maths problems!
On Wednesday we had visitors from BP talk to us about how they use maths in their jobs. We got to apply our skills by making oil rigs out of marshmallows and straws! It was challenging to make them strong enough to hold some weight, but it was even more challenging to not eat the building materials!!
Throughout the week we have been completing number of the day activities and have begun some amazing maths art based on symmetry. Look out for next weeks post to see how these ‘creatures’ turn out!!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
