Fantastic Reading in P4A

In P4A we have been reading Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl as our class novel, and have been enjoying working collaboratively in groups to respond to the text using our ‘Comprehension Compass’ grids. This has helped us apply a range of literacy skills, including using a dictionary to find the meaning of a new word and thinking critically about how the book makes us feel and why.

We also designed new inventions based on what we had read in chapter 4, 5 and 6 – farmer proof fox dens, shovels for detecting and digging out foxes, and even ‘brutal looking machines’ that could dig faster than any fox!

Stay tuned for more ‘fantastic’ learning from P4A!
