P3A have been very busy!
On Mondays and Tuesdays we have Miss Rae. We have been doing drama and dance. We read a story about pen pals and then we acted out the different characters.
In Maths, we investigated 2D shapes which had lines of symmetry. We drew shapes and their lines of symmetry outside.
On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays we have Mrs Ross. We have been read a rhyming stories and created lists of rhyming words outside with chalk. In Literacy, we have been learning about alphabetical order. We ordered ourselves and learned the four quarters of the dictionary. In writing this week, we wrote a story based on a picture called ‘The Garden of Life’. The hedges in the garden were cut into that shapes of animals and a lady. We discussed words and ideas of what might happen there with each other and then we wrote an imaginative story.
In Maths, we have been learning about Number Talks. We are learning hand signals to show we are thinking and when we have answers. We are sharing how we got to our answer. We have also been learning games which will help us learn our number bonds.
We have set targets for this term. We have a target for reading, writing and numeracy. At the end of term we will review these and set new targets.
Today we learned how to login to the Chromebooks ourselves. Over the next few weeks we will get faster at finding the keys we need.
Finally we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to visit us today for Family Friday!
We will check in again next week. Have a lovely weekend!
