The first two weeks back in P4A…

It has been a busy but great first two weeks back in P4A! We have started our swimming lessons today which were a huge success – thank you again to all of our parent helpers and to the children for their hard work too! We are looking forward to our lessons over the rest of term.

We are finishing off our fractions topic and decided to show off what we had learned using sticks to illustrate 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5 and 1/10. Using this, we were able to see that 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5 and 10/10 were the same as 1 whole (our metre stick). We were also able to see which fractions were equivalent such as 2/4 and 1/2. Everyone did a fantastic job and contributed well.

To round off our Victorian Topic, we designed inventions and pitched them to the class – we had some great ideas including but not limited to: a voice controlled mobile, an Alexa doughnut and a pet translator!

Stay tuned for more details of our exciting new topic which we have also been working on!
