Welcome back to Term 4 after hopefully having a relaxing and enjoyable holiday time with your family.
As a follow on from the Maths Night held in March, as requested by parents who attended, below are links to websites the children can use to practice and further develop their numeracy skills at home. Some of the websites require a username and password which means the children may have to register for an account, if they haven’t got one already, before they can play the games. All children have already been issued with a username and password to enable them to access Sumdog at home. Prodigy will require the children to create an account.
Sumdog – https://www.sumdog.com/
Prodigy – https://www.prodigygame.com/
Topmarks – https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/ – includes “Hit the Button” to practice number bonds and multiplication facts and “Daily 10!”
ICT Games – http://www.ictgames.com/resources.html
Crickweb – http://www.crickweb.co.uk/ – KS1 has games for 5-7 years old and KS2 has games for 7-11 years old
NRICH Maths – https://nrich.maths.org/primary
Math Playground – https://www.mathplayground.com/ – there are different grades to choose from (Grades 1-6) which changes the difficulty of the questions being asked
I have attached a few games which you may like to download, including Snakes and Ladders and Emoji Maths.
The “Math Salamanders” website ( https://www.math-salamanders.com/free-kids-math-games.html ) is a website which can be accessed to enable you to download more maths games for the whole family to play.
If your child needs any support with accessing the websites or creating an account or if you would like to offer any feedback or request any games focused on particular skills please do not hesitate to contact me via the school office.
