World Maths Day was a blast in P3A!
First, we started off the morning with active fraction stations. We had a chance to level up our skills with a fractions math game online, test out our skills with some challenges, and even become a teacher to create a seating chart with pattern blocks for our pretend pupils. We explored by splitting up the pattern blocks into different groups and representing the groups with fractions.
We finished off Maths Day with two guest speakers from Dyce Library and the Aberdeen Central Library. These lovely ladies taught us all about how maths is used every day at the library. We were given pretend money, a budget, and some things we might find at a library. Together we worked to make the best deal.
Maths is all around us every day! Our challenge for you is to think of how you use maths every day.
