This week in P4A… (the last week of term!)

We have had a busy last week of term getting lots done! For our Big Writing we designed Comic Book strips linked to our Heroes topic. These could be about any type of hero and choices included heroes in school, the workplace and far away lands! It was fantastic to see the different directions in which the children took their writing. Photos to follow as these have been added to our Literacy wall in class!

In Maths we have been working hard on our number strategies for addition and subtraction which has involved lots of conversations about number squares, number lines, partitioning and chimney sums! The children have enjoyed a mixture of Active Maths stations this term and have been really engaged in all of their tasks!

This week we also took part in a Dragons’ Den style challenge with P4B where the children worked in groups to design a concept for an app that can help people when they are feeling sad or angry. Some groups chose games, some chose mindfulness activities such as colouring and some chose their app to include an educational aspect. We voted for our favourites and were extremely impressed with everyone’s contribution – well done!

We have certainly been busy but we have had a great first term in P4A and look forward to the next one!
