Let’s catch up with P5A.

We haven’t been able to blog for a while as we’ve been so busy! Let us bring you up to speed!

We have successfully completed our Level 1 Bikeability. Our parent helpers put us through loads of exercises to show we could control our bikes.

We participated in the Aberdeen Music Festival. We sang two songs at the Beach Ballroom. We had to wait for our bus so we all enjoyed a short play at the beach park too.

Our P5s went to the Aberdeen Youth Games. We experienced lots of sport and tried our best. We had a fantastic day our and lovely weather helped!

We had a busy day on 1st June as we had a visit from M & M Productions and their new show Oliver Twist. Most of us didn’t know the story. We enjoyed the characters. We are looking forward to next year as P6 do workshops with the cast. We also had Family Friday in the afternoon. Our parents and family came to play board games with us.

The recent sunny and dry weather was a great chance to do lots of outdoor learning. We have been outside for shape and perimeter where we constructed shapes using sticks of different lengths. We had to total the lengths to calculate the perimeter of our shapes. We have been outdoor for P.E and Golden Time.

We had our Sports Day this week. P1-7 walked to the 3G pitch to compete in races and potted sports. We were thrilled to see so many friends and family members there to cheer us on! We really enjoyed the activities Mr Perez and Ms Trail had organised.

On Tuesday we presented our play at assembly. We made a short play about Global Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. We were all a bit nervous but we did it! Ms Trail said we did very well.

We continued the sports theme this week by completing our Inter-house competition, organised by the Inter-house Pupil Group and Mr Perez. They had organised 3 races and have made a leader board for the fastest in each house. Check out the leader board in the main corridor.

Have a lovely weekend. See you next week.
