Primary 6A and B visited the Aberdeen Science Centre this week to participate in the CSI:Aberdeen Workshop run at the former Satrosphere.
Primary 6 were solving crime scenes by conducting science experiments. For example;
- Using a microscope to study and compare material samples.
- Adding red cabbage water and vinegar to different substances to measure it on the PH Scale.
- Using Chromatography to study the different inks used within a pen.
In addition to this we also got time to look around the Aberdeen Science Centre exhibitions and have some fun with our friends.
Our favourite bit was getting to visit the lab within the Science Centre and discover the PH Scale of certain substances when mixed with vinegar or red cabbage water.
